Antifoul Removal

We offer a choice of antifoul removal by either scrapping the hull or removal of antifoul by blasting. We use the latest technology for blasting which will leave the hull with a sanded down finish ready for application of coatings.
Occasionally if the vessel is an older vessel or if the gel coat was not laid down properly there may be air bubbles in the gel coat which can be corrected by epoxying and filling and fairing.

Copper Coating
Copper coating is one of the most effective and long lasting ways of antifouling your boat. We use Coppercoat, a leading brand which is a specially developed solvent-free epoxy resin and high purity (99%) copper.

Osmosis Treatment
OSMOSIS TREATMENT SERVICE IN SOUTHAMPTON
Osmosis problems will not sink your boat but they can be serious, and putting it right can be expensive if it is not addressed at an early stage.
Osmosis in the hull of a boat can be detected by blisters within the gel coat, which smell like vinegar when they are burst. The problem can be confirmed by hull readings.
Osmosis blisters contain three corrosive chemicals. Our osmosis treatment service requires careful preparation as follows:
- Firstly we peel the gel coat back to the fibreglass
- Then we grit blast the hull to open up the blisters
- We then steam pressure wash the hull a number of times
- We place 100C steam vacuums on the hull until the readings on the hull drop considerably
Throughout this process we check the hull readings and we ensure that the hull is dried properly. After the hull is thoroughly dried, epoxy fillers are used to skim the bottom. After the osmosis is treated we apply epoxy coatings and then a coating of the customer’s choice either anti-fouling or Coppercoat as required.

GUARDINAGE
Our guarding service means you can rest assured that your pride and joy is being looked after while you’re not on board. Our service can be tailored to your needs, and includes regular inspections above and below deck, arranging cleaning prior to your arrival, and overseeing any works required. WINTERISATION
If you are planning on taking your boat out of the water over the winter, then we can handle the winterisation process on your behalf. Different boats and engines require different levels of winterisation, but generally includes a minor engine service, half of which is done in autumn and the other half in spring prior to re-launch.
CLEANING
We have been cleaning and valeting yachts and motorboats for many years, and our services vary depending on your needs.
