Boat Antifouling
Keeping your antifoul in good condition can help improve your boat’s efficiency, reduce drag and support better cruising performance. A clean, well-prepared hull can also help reduce unnecessary fuel use and keep your vessel performing as it should.
We offer antifoul removal using either traditional scraping methods or specialist blasting, depending on the condition of the hull and the amount of coating that needs to be removed.
For blasting, we use modern equipment designed to remove old antifoul efficiently while leaving the hull with a clean, sanded finish that is ready for the next stage of preparation and coating.
On older vessels, or where the original gelcoat was not applied correctly, air pockets or imperfections can sometimes be found beneath the surface. These areas can be repaired using epoxy filling and fairing to help restore a smoother, more even finish.
Once the hull has been properly prepared, it can then be made ready for the chosen protective coating, helping provide a better foundation for future antifouling or other hull treatments.
Whether you need old antifoul removed, the hull prepared for a new coating, or minor surface defects corrected, we can help get the underside of your vessel ready for the next stage.
